  • Overview

    The Successful candidate will be working in the Beauty department of a medium to large retail store leading a team of Beauty Consultants, overseeing and set the schedules, driving sales and profitability, set sales goals and monitor employee performance.

    Responsibilities

    • Drive achievement of annual financial goals including sales objectives, stock loss, promotional activities & retail service level.
    • Drive implementation of the annual operating plan
    • Maintain instore promotional initiatives & store layouts
    • Lead and support staff by setting clear objectives, ensuring the preparation of development and performance plans and provide ongoing feedback and coaching to prepare staff for future advancement opportunities.
    • Develop and maintain effective relationships with suppliers, stores, head office and key stakeholders
    • Oversee department layouts and planograms
    • Aggressively lead own Beauty counter initiatives aimed at increasing profitability
    • Work cooperatively with multiple teams
    • Establish strong relationships with store leadership via regular communication
    • Maintain relevant knowledge industry trends
    • Responsible for driving sales targets through Beauty Consultants
    • Responsible for direct and indirect supervision of team members

    Qualifications

    • A Matric Certificate or relevant qualification
    • Previous experience operating at a Beauty counter manager/department manager/assistant store manager or store manager within a retail environment
    • Passion for the Retail Beauty Industry
    • Results oriented and shows a strong sense of urgency
    • Strong leadership critical thinking and problem solving skills
    • Demonstrate a strong level of verbal and written communications skills
    • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
    • Passion for delivering consistent customer shopping experience
    • Ability to influence the store team and lead change effectively
    • Business acumen and numerical ability
    • Organised and attention to detail
